around the globe

I was cleaning my old room back at my folks and found this big stack of postcards. and I was so happy I did!
because way back when I was in junior high I joined postcrossing, this really neat program where you send postcards to complete strangers and then random people send cards to you. from all over the world!

what's especially neat about it, is to see what sort of cards people decide to send.

maybe a view
something that your home is recognized of
a historical moment (isn't it though??)
an animal associeted with your home
or maybe a nice vintage one

I loved reading them again and really can't tell why I stopped doing it. so I decided to join again!
I'm kind of bummed though that I couldn't find the rest of them. I had a huge ton of them. but I am also very excited to start this all over again.

and hey, anyone can join! so maybe if you do, someday our cards could get crossed (:

  4. So neat! I love that idea. I've never been one to collect those sorts of things, but I always used to get one whenever I went out of town to give to my best friend! Hahaha! I think she still has them!

  9. What a cool project/idea! I love getting postcards/letters by snail mail almost more than anything. It feels like a little bit of Christmas in the mailbox each time. : )
